My Journey to Financial Freedom: A Practical Guide for the Average European Investor

Updated: Mar 15

In the hustle and bustle of life, as an investor in Europe with a regular 9-5 job, I found myself yearning for more than just the routine grind. The dream? To break free from the shackles of relying solely on my job for income and create a tapestry of wealth through diversification. Join me on this blog journey where we'll explore how an individual with an average salary can craft multiple income streams, realize financial goals, and build a lasting legacy.

My 9-5 Income (4100 euros)

Let's start where the money currently flows — my job. With a monthly income of around 4,100 Euro from my job this is quite average and not stellar however, this is my main source of income and my goal is to grow this source over time and diversify with other sources so I am not solely dependent on it.

The Power of My Dividend Portfolio (100 euros)

I'm supplementing it with dividends with a monthly income of around 4,100 euros from my job. My initial dividend yield is low, and this sets the stage for substantial future income growth. in this blog, I talk extensively about this and why it is low as of now but will increase over time, currently this is yielding around 100 euros per month.

Real Estate Ventures for Additional Income (500 euros)

Recently, I took a significant step into real estate, purchasing a home for rental income. From buying to estimating returns I estimate to reach about 500 Euro monthly income from my rental properties and this adds a new layer of financial stability to my portfolio.

Amplifying My Savings with Increased Interest Rates (50 euros)

Savings have been a constant in my financial strategy, and with recent increases in interest rates, the game has changed. This has yielded a bit more recently thanks to high-interest savings accounts and deposits which yield me about 50 euros monthly income from savings and are contributing to the growth of my overall portfolio.

Conclusion: Building Your Financial Legacy from Simple Beginnings

As we conclude this blog, I want to emphasize that financial freedom is not reserved for the elite; it's a journey that anyone, even those with a simple starting point, can embark upon. My experience as an investor in Europe with a 9-5 job, earning a modest 4,100 euros monthly, reflects the power of deliberate choices and strategic planning in building additional income streams.
